What are the eligibility conditions for the festive 0% offer?
- Applies only to new merchants who sign up for a Cashfree account on or after 21 July 2026, 12:00 PM IST. Merchants who processed any transaction with Cashfree before that date aren’t eligible.
- Is applied automatically once your Know Your Customer (KYC) verification is approved and your account is activated. You don’t need a promo code or a first transaction to trigger it.
- Covers domestic payment gateway transactions up to a cumulative GMV of ₹20,00,000. This is a one-time cap, not a recurring monthly allowance.
- Ends when any of the following happens first: you use the full ₹20,00,000 GMV, the festive campaign ends on 31 March 2027, or you’re disqualified under the fair usage conditions below. After the offer ends, the standard rate of 1.95% plus applicable taxes applies automatically.
- Doesn’t apply to the following payment methods, which are always charged the standard rate: American Express cards, Diners Club cards, corporate credit cards, EMI (credit card, debit card, and cardless), prepaid cards, Pay Later, subscriptions (e-mandate), international card payments through the International Payment Gateway (IPG), and any payment method with a standard Merchant Discount Rate (MDR) of 3% or higher.
- Doesn’t waive Goods and Services Tax (GST). GST is charged at 18% (or the prevailing rate) and calculated on the standard 1.95% rate, even on transactions where the platform fee itself is waived.
- Is subject to fair usage: after you complete 5 or more transactions and cross a cumulative GMV of ₹5,00,000, Cashfree reviews the share of your GMV from credit card transactions. If credit card transactions account for 60% or more of your total GMV, Cashfree may withdraw the offer with immediate effect.
- Is limited to one offer per Permanent Account Number (PAN) or bank account. If you register multiple Merchant IDs (MIDs) under the same PAN or bank account, only the first activated MID is eligible.
- Isn’t available to merchants referred through partners or resellers.
- Isn’t available to merchants in the following Merchant Category Code (MCC) categories: local and suburban passenger transportation, elementary and secondary schools, correspondence schools, and business and secretarial schools.
- Includes a dedicated account manager and T+1 settlement by 8:00 PM IST as the default settlement cycle during the campaign, for GST-registered businesses.
- Can be modified, suspended, withdrawn, or discontinued by Cashfree at any time, with prior notice to your registered email address.
