Cashfree’s AI-powered Return to Origin (RTO) Intelligence reduces return orders and fraud by disabling Cash on Delivery for high-risk customers. Integrated with One-Click Checkout, it uses machine learning to predict RTO risk, improving delivery rates and reducing costs.

Activate RTO intelligence

To activate RTO Intelligence:
  1. Log in to the Merchant Dashboard.
  2. Under One-Click Checkout, select Access.
  3. In the left pane, select COD & RTO.
  4. Select the RTO Intelligence tab.
  5. Turn on the toggle in the top-right corner.
Note: You can’t turn on the toggle if no shipping provider credentials are linked.
  1. In the Link a Shipping Provider modal:
    1. Select the shipping company from the Shipping Company dropdown.
    2. Enter your Username.
    3. Enter your Password.
    4. Select Add Now.
After linking a shipping provider, contact Cashfree to complete the RTO Intelligence configuration. You must provide the risk score ranges for Low, Medium, and High-risk customers, along with the specific payment modes that should be disabled for each risk category. The Cashfree team will configure the rules based on the information you supply.

Restrict high-risk orders to prepaid only

To restrict high-risk or high-RTO orders to prepaid payment only, enable RTO Intelligence by following the steps in Activate RTO intelligence. Then submit the rules you want applied on the backend through the Support Form.
